Fine pair of lemon top andirons with engraved eagle on each block, a full 20" high.

By repute, this mantel was removed from the Capitol building in Washington, DC during the 1820 restoration by the Fry family and the family referred to this mantel as the Bulfinch Mantel--held subsequently by another family. Note elaborate carved ovals and dentil carving of the highest order. Out side dimensions: 58" high, 76 3/4" wide, 11" deep.

In 18th C style having reflectors, later electrified and I removed the wiring.

Approx. 20: high. Double lemon top andirons.
