Fine Federal tall case clock, of small scale, only 89" high to the top finial, having rosewood banding, and ivory escutcheon and pull, original fret and feet, full fluted quarter columns and brass caps, 8 day movement with distinctive open back plate (see images)--case attributed to Abel White. Period finials.

98" high over the finial, Pennsylvania maker Jedidiah Weiss, Bethlehem PA was the son of a clockmaker, John Weiss and was apprenticed to JS Krause, who died in 1815--Jedidiah Weiss took over for Krause and operated it until his retirement in 1865. This clock was made circa 1825-35 and is in all original condition--all cherrywood case and all original elements including the finial blocks, finials, feet, pendulum, weight, etc. The 30-hour time and strike movement is functionally well.

American tall-case clock, Easton, PA maker: George Bush, after 1812, with bold carved fan on waist door and painted dial with sweep seconds hand and calendar hand, approx. height: 103" over to finial. Northampton County, PA. Bush apprenticed to Christian Bixler from 1806-1812. Note: finials and feet over replaced.
