Approx. 40" x 50"--the very best Venus and cupid painting I have ever owned. Cropping seems to be right although placed on a stretcher in England circa 1800. I now have it framed. The previous owner thought it to be British School while I surmise it is Italian.

An art historian in Holland has suggested an attribution of Jan Griffier as more plauasible.

20" x 36" Framed: 28" x 44" Autumn landscape with a waterfall and cabin by Knapp. It is framed in a period scoop frame with decorative leaf corners. Charles W. Knapp is well known for his quintessential depictions of farm life along the rivers and shorelines of America from New Hampshire to upper state New York. "View of the Susquehanna River" was painted between 1860-1870 in Pennsylvania farm country, where cattle drank along rivers and farmers piled hay on wagons to feed animals...
