Michael Lemmermeyer was born in NYC in the 1890's and began art instruction in the city at several art schools; during the first world war he was an illustrator for the US Army and its wartime publications. After the war he continued painting ang taking instruction in the city and in the Adirondacks at the Old Mill School during the summers. He ran his own successful business in the pharmaceutical industry for decades and continued to paint for his own pleasure...
