24" x 38" oil on canvas signed lower right. Painted about 1830. This artistic work shows the vessel in two positions inbound to Liverpool. The scene is off South Stack Rock and lighthouse. The small multi-colored vessel just below and a little to the right of the lighthouse is a Liverpool Pilot cutter headed for Princess Charlotte to offer a pilot. The three flags atop the foremast are 217 in the Liverpool or Watson's code. They represent Princess Charlotte.
