| 30" x 24" oil on canvas, in the original frame, signed and dated lower left 1942. approx. 34" x 28" Biography from AskART: Born in Middletown, Rhode Island, she studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School with Edmund Tarbell. She continued her studies at the Colarossi Academy in Paris with Blanche and Lucien Simon. Her studio was on the grounds of her grandfather's estate in Newport Rhode Island. She became known for landscape and marine painting, especially boats in the International Cup Races off Newport. For many years she taught art and was also Director of the School of the Art Association of Newport.
