"Old Man With A Pipe" a portrait oil painting signed by August F. Lundberg, a Danish artist who moved to America and lived between 1878 and 1928. This oil painting on canvas is a portrait of an older gentleman with a pipe. The canvas measures 24 inches wide by 30 inches tall. In the frame this painting measures 29.5 inches wide and 35.5 inches tall. Signed and illustrated in the paperback book on the artist published jointly by Hirschl and Adler Galleries, NYC and Adams Davidson Galleries, Washington, DC. August Lundberg was a Danish artist trained at the Royal Academy in Copenhagen. In 1904, he went to Columbus, Ohio, where he was founder of the Columbus Pen and Pencil Club and a member of the Columbus Art League. Exhibition venues included the Armory Show of 1913; the Corcoran Gallery of Art; Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts; Paris Salon, and the Columbus Art League.
