Rare pair of Southern portraits at this poiint unattributed, by Family history depicting a brother and sister from North Carolina and I have not yet had them studied at MESDA. I original frames, outside dimensions are approx 40" x 34" The boy grew to be killed in the Civil War. The hand is strong enough to trace with time and effort. The mountains behind the girl suggest the area west of Winston Salem.
