In original arts and crafts metal leaf frame, 18" x 21" canvas, overall is 21.5" x 24" Pluma M. Kimball was born in Austin, Minnesota, December 18, 1858, the daughter of Wilbur and Frances Kimball. In 1882 she married John Kipp Brown, a widowed banker who was also 31 years her elder. He was to die in 1908. According to the 1880 and 1890 Census they lived in Des Moines, Minnesota.
